JULY 2021: NEW PERFORMANCE FEATURES FOR TIMBERWOLF SERVER

.
We continuously provide our customers with updates and upgrades for the Timberwolf Server. In addition to upgrades for completely new features, updates include performance improvements, bug fixes, and updates for the kernel and operating system.

As of today (July 2021), the Timberwolf Server now supports nine bus systems and protocols natively and in parallel (KNX-TP, KNXnet/IP tunneling, DMX, 1-Wire, Modbus RTU, Modbus TCP, MQTT, ekey home, ekey multi).

All data exchange points of the respective bus systems and protocols can be exchanged with each other as well as with the logic module, the visualisation, the time series module with Grafana, etc. as desired. Via MQTT, simple networking of several Timberwolf Servers - with all data points - is thus also possible. This allows the installations of any number of locations to be networked with each other, even if the KNX group addresses have the same or overlapping structures.

We provide all updates for the Timberwolf Server free of charge in perpetuity, no maintenance contract is required.

The installation of updates for the Timberwolf Server is very simple and comparable to updates for Windows. In the web app under "Settings -> System -> Updates", press the button "Check for updates" and if an update is displayed, then press the button "Install updates". The update process runs automatically. Important information for the update will be displayed. All your previous settings will of course be retained. The update can be carried out during operation.
We recommend making a backup before the update via the system menu in the web app. For this purpose, an SD card is built into all models of the Timberwolf Server - separately and in addition to the internal flash of the Timberwolf Server.

We provide updates in two release trains. Firstly as a "released Major Version" and as an "Insider Version". As a user of the Timberwolf Server, you can freely choose in the web app from which release train you should be offered new versions.

If you want to be informed about new updates and upgrades, please subscribe to our newsletter, read regularly in our support forum or join our two Telegram channels (for the two release trains). You can find the invitation links in the web app under "Updates" or further down on this NEWS page.

MAY 2021: NEW! SUPPORT FOR MQ TELEMETRY TRANSPORT MQTT WITH TIMBERWOLF SERVER

.
From now on, support for MQTT is available for all models of the Timberwolf Server. Administration is carried out via a modern graphical web APP from any end device.

All common protocol and data encodings are supported. A wide range of configuration options, which are easy to use with graphical wizards, facilitate the integration of new MQTT clients into the Timberwolf Server. Extensive feedback and diagnostic support in real time directly when setting up the functions enable efficient commissioning.

Integrating MQTT devices has never been easier. Upgrading to this new version can be done from any previous version on the fly with just a few clicks.

Highlights

  • Easy to use modern web APP: NEW! Setup and administration are done via an easy-to-use graphical user interface that can be used with any browser. The setup of the MQTT data communication can - for an MQTT device accessible via an MQTT broker - also be done interactively with feedback for each parameter. Several graphical wizards with context-sensitive info texts and plausibility checks simplify the creation of the functions for data exchange. This greatly simplifies the set-up. In addition, a help system integrated in the Timberwolf Server, a wiki and videos with instructions are available.
  • Flexible configuration allows generic adaptation to MQTT clients: The MQTT module is designed generically, i.e. the Timberwolf Server can communicate with most available MQTT devices. The web APP allows granular settings for topics, encoding / decoding of common data types as well as selection and production of data in - even complex - JSON data structures.
  • Any link with objects of other technologies: The data exchange with the MQTT devices can be arbitrarily linked with objects of all other supported technologies such as KNX (currently 2,000 objects, 32. 000 GAs), all created logic modules, to other MQTT devices, Modbus devices, 1-Wire devices, time series with evaluation with Grafana, visualisation with CometVisu and Grafana, with DMX and soon also with systems that are addressed via HTTP-API (Web-API, CGI, REST API) as well as UDP/TCP.
  • No Limits: Complete support for MQTT over TCP/IP networks (via Ethernet). Any number of MQTT brokers can be used in parallel. The number of connections to MQTT devices, MQTT topics and the number of MQTT data points is not limited. As far as routeable, connections to MQTT brokers in other networks, via VPN or to the Internet can also be configured, enabling data coupling between many Timberwolf Servers in different networks and buildings distributed across the world.

Overview of MQTT features:

  • MQTT: NEW! Complete support for MQTT over TCP/IP networks (via Ethernet) with MQTT versions 3.1 and 3.11.
  • Any number of local and remote MQTT brokers can be addressed: Any number of MQTT brokers can be used in parallel for communication with MQTT clients. This means that MQTT brokers can be used in the entire IP network that can be addressed and reached from the Timberwolf Server. For operation in the local network, one (or more) MQTT Brokers can be installed (with a few clicks) in the container system of the Timberwolf Server and operated there in parallel.
  • Graphical user interface on any device: All settings can be made via an easy-to-use graphical user interface, which can be accessed from almost any device with a browser. Most settings can already be made with a smartphone with a diagonal of 6 inches or more. No special knowledge is required for operation. Interactive support during the creation of the definitions for the data exchange with Live Diagnosis & Live Check enables a comfortable and simple configuration with immediate control.
  • Free adjustable decoding / coding: An easily configurable decoding / coding enables data exchange with all common data formats. In addition, a conversion of the data types is supported.
  • Free configurable selection or configuration of JSON data structures: MQTT clients often send data in extensive JSON data structures, partly also multiple nested and expect commands also in such structures. The Timberwolf Server therefore supports both the selection and the configuration of JSON data structures, which may also be nested several times. For this purpose, Timberwolf Server objects can be assigned to the individual data in the JSON structure (both receiving and sending), so that complete JSON data communication via MQTT - per topic - is also possible.
  • Unlimited number of brokers / devices / topics / data points: The number of simultaneously supported brokers, devices, topics and decoded / encoded data points is not limited by the software. Any number of settings can be set up and activated within the system resources.
  • Any links of the data points: Each MQTT data point can be linked in the Timberwolf Server almost arbitrarily with any other data point in the same or other protocols in an n:m relationship. This means that every Modbus data point can be linked with many other data points of the same or other technologies such as KNX, 1-Wire, DMX, time series, logic, Visu, ekey, other MQTT objects and soon also with REST, UDP/TCP/ etc.
  • MQTT Device Bus Monitor: Interactive display of received or sent data allows communication verification and easy diagnostics, individually for each connected MQTT Topic.

Application area for MQTT:

  • Coupling any number of buildings: With MQTT, the wolf becomes a pack. MQTT is a symmetric protocol that supports full-duplex connections to the MQTT broker. The protocol is very efficient, so MQTT brokers can support tens of thousands of connections simultaneously. This makes it easy to connect practically any number of Timberwolf Servers via MQTT, especially since the Timberwolf Server also supports the connection to several MQTT Brokers in parallel. MQTT brokers are also available on the internet, partly free of charge. The simple and free linkability of all objects in the Timberwolf Server makes it possible to link any object (regardless of whether this is an object of the 1-Wire, KNX, DMX, MQTT, Modbus, ekey, REST, UDP protocols, of logic and time series or an object of another supported technology) with any number of objects of other Timberwolf Servers. Apart from the system resources of the servers and brokers involved, as well as the transmission bandwidth, there are no limitations for this. This enables multi-universe coupling between many buildings for overarching signalling, data consolidation and control.
  • Connection of modern MQTT devices: Many sensors (e.g. Steinel IP series, Shelly sensors, many ESP8266 based sensors), cameras (Instar), actuators (Shelly), wall charging stations for electric vehicles (OpenWB) and services can now be connected to the Timberwolf Server via MQTT. Through the arbitrary linking, all data can be recorded in the time series module included in the Timberwolf Server and evaluated with Grafana, which is also included, transferred to visualisation systems such as CometVisu and linked with the communication objects of other bus systems and devices to KNX, Modbus, HTTP API, 1-Wire, DMX, other supported protocols as well as the internal logic system.
  • Linking with other automation systems: Other automation systems such as Node Red, OpenHAB, io:Broker and Home Assistant support special solutions created by an active community. Until now, a connection from this to the Timberwolf Server was only possible via KNX and thus only with limited bandwidth overall. With the new support for MQTT, these other automation systems can now also be connected to the Timberwolf Server - or a pack of them - to interact with the resources available at the Timberwolf Server.

.
From now on, extensive support for Modbus RTU and Modbus TCP is available for all models of the Timberwolf Server. Administration is carried out via a modern graphical web APP from any terminal device.

Multi-register access and all common data encodings are supported. Value checks, value adjustments with free formulas and type changes allow diverse configuration options that are easy to operate with graphical wizards. Loadable device profiles enable effective connection of even complex Modbus devices to the Timberwolf Server. Detailed feedback and comprehensive diagnostic support in real time incl. Modbus bus monitor enable efficient commissioning.

Setting up Modbus bus systems and devices has never been easier. Upgrading to this new version can be done from any previous version during operation with just a few clicks.

Highlights

  • Easy to use modern web APP: NEW! Setup and administration are done via an easy-to-use graphical user interface that can be used with any browser. Setting up Modbus data communication can be done interactively - if a Modbus device is connected - with feedback for each parameter. Several graphic wizards with info texts and plausibility checks simplify the creation of functions. This greatly simplifies the set-up. In addition, a help system integrated in the Timberwolf Server, a wiki and videos with instructions are available.
  • Loadable Modbus Device Profiles: NEW! The definition of the data exchange points of a Modbus device can be loaded as a Modbus profile. For many Modbus devices, predefined profiles are available in the Modbus subforum of the ElabNET Support Forum
This special product feature allows the Timberwolf Server to be generically adapted to any Modbus device conforming to the Modbus standard. This means that all Modbus devices on the market can be connected to the Timberwolf Server.
  • Any link with objects of other technologies: The data exchange with the Modbus devices can be arbitrarily linked with objects of all supported technologies such as KNX (currently 2,000 objects, 32. 000 GAs), all created logic modules, to other Modbus devices, 1-Wire devices, time series with evaluation with Grafana, visualisation, with DMX, MQTT devices and shortly also with systems that are addressed via HTTP-API (Web-API, CGI, REST-API) as well as UDP/TCP.
  • Practically no limits: There are no predefined limitations. Within the available system resources, any number of Modbus RTU bus interfaces can be connected and any number of connections to Modbus TCP-to-RTU gateways and Modbus TCP servers can be set up in parallel. In turn, any number of Modbus devices can be addressed in these respective Modbus bus systems (as far as permitted and addressable within the scope of the protocol). The number of configurable data exchange points is also not limited.

Overview of Modbus features

  • Modbus TCP: NEW! Extensive support for Modbus TCP over TCP/IP networks (via Ethernet) with a very wide range of features. Any number of Modbus TCP devices can be used in parallel.
  • Modbus RTU: NEW! Support also for Modbus RTU via serial RS-485 bus systems over any number of interfaces in parallel. One of the two RS-485 interfaces of the Timberwolf Servers 950Q or 960Q can be configured for use with Modbus RTU. For all models of the Timberwolf Server, the new Dual Modbus Extension is also available as an extension. This extension offers two separate RS-485 interfaces, each of which can be used for Modbus RTU bus systems. Any number of such extensions may be connected in parallel. Each channel supports an independent Modbus universe, each with a complete address range. Depending on the bus load, up to 248 Modbus RTU devices can be connected to the same RS-485 bus over a length of up to 1,200 metres. The free linkability of all objects in the Timberwolf Server also allows, among other things, a translation - incl. conversion and re-conversion - between different devices of the supported Modbus protocols.
  • Graphical user interface: All settings can be made via an easy-to-use graphical user interface, which can be accessed from any end device with a browser. An interactive support during the creation of all definitions for the data exchange with Live Diagnosis & Live Check enables a comfortable and simple acquisition with immediate control.
  • Exchangeable Modbus device profiles: Some Modbus devices have several hundred to over a thousand data exchange points. The definition of these device properties can be entered interactively in the profile editor and exported and imported as desired. Profiles that have already been created are available for import for many Modbus devices in the ElabNET Support Forum. By using such Modbus device profiles, the time required for commissioning is reduced to a few minutes. The profile management in the Timberwolf Server allows the local management of several thousand device profiles.
  • Free configurable intervals (from 10 ms): Intervals for queries and transmissions can be freely set from 10 ms. An automatic assistance function determines the actual time requirement according to the configuration (depending on baud rate, timing of the devices, etc.).
  • Multi-register, byte order, bit mask: Multi-register transactions allow data exchange from 1 bit to 256 bytes. Data order can be swapped for bytes, words and double words in all eight possible combinations. For data widths from 1 to 64 bits, arbitrarily configurable bit masks can also be applied.
  • Free configurable decoding / encoding of binary data: An interactively configurable decoding / encoding enables data exchange with all common binary data formats. In addition, a conversion of the data types is supported.
  • Value check before processing: Queried values can be subjected to a check for compliance with specified value limits before further internal processing. Likewise - for the reverse direction - the object contents can be subjected to a check against configured value limits before being transmitted to the Modbus device.
  • Unlimited number of data points: The number of data points supported simultaneously is not limited. The sequence of queries and transmissions from and to the Modbus devices are configurable and can be triggered in a grouped manner.
  • Any links of the data points: Each Modbus data point can be linked in the Timberwolf Server almost arbitrarily with any other data point of other protocols and technologies in an n:m relationship. This means that every Modbus data point can be linked with many other data points of the same or other technologies such as KNX, 1-Wire, DMX, time series, logic, Visu, ekey and in the future also Web-API (CGI, REST), UDP/TCP etc.
  • Modbus bus monitor for diagnostics: The function module Modbus bus monitor allows a check of the communication of the Timberwolf Server with the Modbus devices and supports the diagnosis of possible errors.

New features:

  • Integration ekey: New! Support for ekey home or ekey multi. A graphic ekey rule editor enables comprehensive evaluation of the telegrams sent by the ekey systems. The ekey systems can be linked with all other supported technologies. The ekey bus monitor, which has also been added, enables diagnostics of the ekey telegrams received - in each case for each connected ekey controller. Up to 10 ekey systems can be connected in parallel. Integration on the Timberwolf Server only requires the port number to be specified.
  • Subsystem management: NEW! Subsystem Manager for management of technologies and subsystems. The Timberwolf Server allows multiple parallel connection of many technologies (DMX, Modbus, ekey), each with full address space. The assignment of these universes to the respective interfaces can now be freely assigned.
  • KNX: New! The KNX subsystem has been extended by a graphical management for status and configuration of the integrated or connected KNX bus couplers. In addition, a real-time updated list of the current KNXnet/IP tunnel connections and a log of all connection events are now available. With this version, the import of encrypted ETS project files is also supported.
  • APPs & Containers: New! Graphical container management. The functionality of the Timberwolf Server can be extended with the APPs available ex works and additionally with containers created by users themselves (e.g. OpenHAB, io:Broker, Edomi, Niode Red etc.). An easy-to-use graphical container management is now available for status management and configuration.
  • Offline help system: New! Extensive expansion of the user interface to include advanced status and diagnostic displays as well as a help system that can be used without connecting to the Internet.
  • Support soil moisture & 1-Wire valve actuators: New! The new 1-Wire soil moisture sensors and the 1-Wire valve actuators (incl. heartbeat control against unintentional watering) introduced in summer are automatically recognised and supported with the new firmware.
  • Automatic certificate renewal: NEW! Certificates for TLS (formerly known as SSL) are now renewed automatically. This fulfils the now stricter requirements of browsers, which are a prerequisite for encrypted access to the Timberwolf Server.
Improved features:

  • Configurable internet connection: The Timberwolf Server basically works completely self-sufficiently without internet. The permission for connections for NTP (time synchronisation) and VPNs were already granularly configurable. With the extended settings from this version onwards, automatic certificate renewal, access to the update server and support feedback can now also be activated individually by the user. A separate data protection page in the Timberwolf Server provides information on which data is collected when connections are activated and which IP addresses and ports are addressed, so that local firewall settings can be adjusted accordingly. Absolute transparency is very important to us.
  • Menu structure and colour concept optimised: The system menu was redesigned for better effectiveness and usability and prepared for the use of future features. This simplifies the use of the web APP even more and now requires even fewer clicks than before. A completely revised intuitive colour concept provides additional support.
  • Anonymous access to Grafana for visualisation: So that visualisations can be used from touchscreens, tablets etc. without prior login, anonymous read access to the Grafana dashboards operated locally in the Timberwolf Server can now be enabled with a click.
These top features of the new version 1.6 have been intensively tested over the past three quarters of a year by several hundred participants in the Insider Programme over approximately 1 million hours of operation. We thank our testers for their great efforts and helpful feedback.

Image 4-fold 1-wire valve actuator in ALU housing

AUG. 2020: NEW! 4-FAN VENTIL ACTOR FOR INSTALLATION IN VENTIL BOX IN THE GARDEN

.
Matching the new soil moisture sensor, we offer an inexpensive valve actuator for the control of four consumers. The actuator is equipped with robust, wear-free and silent solid-state relays ("SSR"), each of which can be used to switch direct or alternating voltage up to 48 V / 500 mA. Protection through double galvanic isolation of bus and power supply by super wide range DC/DC converters and optical control of the output drivers ("SSR"). All inputs and outputs of the electronics are also equipped with powerful overvoltage protection. Another special feature is the included safety circuit (hardware watchdog) for deactivating the four outputs within one minute if the life bit ("heartbeat") fails. This effectively prevents accidental continuous watering.

Several LED indicators for switched channels, for supply voltage and the 1-wire bus traffic facilitate commissioning and troubleshooting. Valves can be switched over any distance. An optional IP67 aluminium housing set including all seals is available for mounting in a valve box in the garden below ground level. The actuator can also be used to switch heating valves or other low-voltage consumers (LEDs, etc.).
Intended use:

  • Smart Garden: Control of valves for irrigation. Particularly optimal irrigation based on soil moisture measurement
  • .
  • Smart Home: Control of heating or swimming pool valves as well as for frequently switched small consumers (such as LEDs)
  • .
  • Horticulture farms: Optimisation of irrigation, control of valves via digital bus system
  • Research & Education: The electronics are lock-free and allow infinite switching cycles for very precise control of irrigation for research purposes
  • .
Application:

  • Turf: Controlled irrigation for optimal growth and lush greenery
  • .
  • Balcony planting, vegetable beds: Controlled water delivery for flowering balconies and maximum yield
  • .
  • Large potted plants, palms: Soil in the pot has only a small volume available. The risk of over- or under-watering is particularly high here. Guided watering enables ideal plant conditions. We strongly recommend measuring the soil moisture with the separately available sensor and controlling the watering according to the soil moisture.
  • Vacation watering: Water potted plants during extended absences. Move all plants into one room and use a Micro-Drip system with a valve. Measure the soil moisture at one of the plants. Instead of a pump, you can place the water container with drain (and valve on it) slightly elevated.
  • Greenhouses, farms: Optimum yield with irrigation precisely matched to the respective plant. Recording and graphic evaluation of the valve switching times with the Timberwolf Server.
  • Sports area irrigation: Control of valves for the irrigation of golf courses and sports fields
  • .
Main features:

  • Four channels: Independent digital control for four channels via 1-wire
  • .
  • Wearless: Four solid state relays ("SSR"). No mechanics, no wear, any number of switching cycles
  • .
  • Galvanic isolation: Double galvanic isolation of the power supply via DCDC converters as well as additional isolation from the bus by optoelectronic control of the solid-state relays ("SSR")
  • .
  • Calibration & Maintenance: No calibration and no maintenance of the assembly necessary
  • .
  • Data transmission: Interference-free digital data transmission, no distortions due to line or contact resistances
  • .
  • Strong overvoltage protection: The four valve connections (SSR) as well as the voltage supply connections are each protected up to 30 kV /400 W peak pulse (10/1000 µs) with a response time of better than 1 ps! This effectively counteracts the higher risk of overvoltage damage in the garden. All 1-Wire ports are protected up to 30 kV and 25 A (8/20 µs)
  • .
  • Plug'n'Play: This 1-Wire valve actuator is automatically recognised by the Timberwolf Server, the special control of the HW watchdog is automatically executed. All switching commands are additionally checked by read-after-write. This protects very effectively against incorrect watering, e.g. in the event of a wire breakage or short circuit in the bus system.
  • External systems / Loxone / OpenHAB / IPS: The module can be used - except with the Loxone Miniserver - with all other external systems known to us. The Loxone Miniserver does NOT support 1-Wire In/Out.
  • Material Housing: The valve actuator can be installed in the house or in the garden. For installations in a valve box, an optional IP67 ALU housing kit with all seals is available

AUG. 2020: NEW! FLOOR LIGHT SENSOR

.
We now offer soil moisture sensors for the 1-Wire bus system. The sensor determines the plant-available soil water via automatically repeated measurements. This involves determining the negative pressure that the plants have to apply in order to absorb the pore water against the capillary forces of the soil. This measurement method is particularly precise and works independently of the soil type.

The sensor can be laid up to a distance of 100 m from the electronics. Optionally, an IP67 ALU housing set optimised for use is available with all seals so that the evaluation electronics can also be mounted in valve boxes below ground level.
The soil moisture sensor has a wide measuring range of 0 to 2,000 hPa (0 - 200 cbar). The electronics are designed with double galvanic isolation of the voltage supply and 1-wire bus from the sensor, contain a co-processor for determining the measured values and filtering on the incoming and outgoing connections for the 1-wire bus system for optimum range. All connections are equipped with overvoltage protection.

Intended use:

  • Smart Garden: Pinpoint control of irrigation, matched to actual needs, avoiding under- and over-watering for lawns, home growing, hedges, balcony and patio plants, flower beds
  • .
  • Horticulture farms: Optimisation of irrigation for outdoor vegetables, asparagus, potatoes, sugar beet, berries and tree fruit, viticulture, hops as well as in seed production
  • .
  • Research & Teaching: Determination and recording of matrix potential as well as soil temperature (with optional pod temperature sensor)
Application areas:

  • Turf areas: Measuring the soil moisture of turf areas for the most economical watering
  • .
  • Balcony planting, vegetable beds: Optimal control of irrigation to the point for maximum yield
  • .
  • Large potted plants, palms: Soil in the pot has only a small volume available. The risk of over- or under-watering is particularly high here. Therefore, regulation on the basis of measurement is also very sensible. This also applies in particular to palms whose root balls - and sometimes also the trunk - need to be heated in winter. With an optional temperature sensor, the temperature in the pot / root ball can also be monitored and recorded - in addition to the humidity.
  • Greenhouses, farms: Best yield with a water requirement precisely matched to the respective plant. Control through recording and evaluation with the Timberwolf Server.
  • Sports area irrigation: Control of irrigation of golf courses and sports fields
  • .
Main features:

  • Measurement principle:Determination of plant available water by measuring the electrical resistance of the matrix potential of the soil and converting it to soil suction voltage
  • .
  • Measuring range: Soil suction voltage from 1 to 2,000 hectopascals (alternatively also 1 - 200 centibars or pF value 0 - 3.3)
  • Temperature compensation: In the Timberwolf Server, if separate 1-wire sleeve sensor for measurement in the soil is connected
  • .
  • Galvanic isolation: Double galvanic isolation of the power supply and the data transmission to the 1-Wire bus system
  • .
  • Calibration & Maintenance: No calibration and no maintenance of assembly or the sensor element necessary
  • .
  • Data transmission: Interference-free digital data transmission, no distortions due to line or contact resistances
  • .
  • Overvoltage protection: All ports are individually protected up to 30 kV and 25 A (8/20 us)
  • Plug'n'Play: This sensor is automatically recognised by the Timberwolf Server, all necessary formulas and characteristic curves are automatically taken into account and integrated
  • .
  • Foreign systems / Loxone / OpenHAB / IPS: The sensor can be used with all foreign systems known to us as well as the Loxone Miniserver. All necessary formulas are given in the product description.
  • Material housing: The sensor element itself is buried, the evaluation electronics can be installed 100 m away from it. For installations of the electronics in the garden, an optional ALU housing set IP67 with all seals is available
  • .

Ambient light sensor image

NEW Z-SERIES SENSORS WITH AMBIENT LIGHT SENSOR

Hereby we introduce the Z series. These are sensors designed for installation in the central plate of a sensor insert. All three versions will include the new ambient light sensor V 2.0.

Special features of the ambient light sensor:

- Extremely wide usable range: The ambient light sensor can be used from 1 lux (candle at a distance of approx. 1 m) up to 200,000 lux (full sunlight).
- High resolution in twilight: The resolution is logarithmic and thus very high, especially in twilight or near darkness.
- Application: Suitability for controlling a shade as well as for constant light control.
- Compatibility: Software support is included in the WireGate multifunction gateway from PL36. For users of other software platforms, a developer data sheet with the calculation formulas will be available approximately two weeks after availability.
.
3 versions:

- Version analog ambient light sensor: Assembly only with sensor as accessory for connection to the evaluation circuit included in the multisensors BMS or AMS via current interface 0-50 uA .
- Version 1-Wire ambient light sensor: Assembly with its own 1-Wire connection and temperature sensor. A multisensor for evaluation is not required here.
- Version 1-Wire ambient light multisensor UMS incl. measurement of temperature and humidity: In this version, the module contains an integrated multisensor in addition to a 1-Wire ambient light sensor. The performance characteristics with regard to the measurement of temperature and humidity correspond to the AMS / BMS multisensors of the B series. Including overvoltage protection. In this version also well combinable with the already released multi-IO modules of the B series with up to 6 IOs in one flush-mounted box.
.
All ambient light sensors of the Z series in 10 versions:

- Finished in central plate - 7 colour variants: These assemblies are optimised for installation in the central plate for the Berker sensor insert (for flush mounting). This makes integration into almost any switch range particularly easy. We therefore offer the three versions described above each ready-installed in a central plate - in seven colour variants.
- For self-mounting - with or without mounting kit in 3 variants: Alternatively, we also offer the modules (in all three versions) for self-mounting in three variants. On the one hand without mounting kit, and on the other hand with the recommended mounting material with special VHB adhesive tape and fibre optic cable. In addition, a version with mounting material and special 4.2 mm drill bit is also available.
