KNX BUS COUPLER TP-UART PRO FOR 25 TUNNELS

FOR TIMBERWOLF SERVER AS KNX-TP INTERFACE

KNX bus coupling unit TPUART PRO 25 T USB for Timberwolf Server. New version with local co-processor for up to 25 simultaneous KNXnet/IP tunnels and for communication of the Timberwolf Server with the EIB / KNX installation bus via TP (twisted pair). Connection to the Timberwolf Server via USB.

NEW! Now with CoProcessor for the support of 25 simultaneous tunnels aswell as logging and KNX application.
NEW! double galvanic isolation, supply of the KNX side by KNX bus, the USB side by USB bus.

This KNX bus coupler only works with the Timberwolf Server (accessory). We recommend the protection module BlitzART KNX to protect the bus coupler.

    YOU WILL BENEFIT FROM

    • Recording of KNX telegrams on the bus: The Timberwolf Server supports the recording of bus telegrams via this bus coupling unit.
    • Application mode on the bus: The Timberwolf Server supports the operation of its KNX application via this bus coupling unit.
    • KNXnet/IP tunneling: In parallel, the Timberwolf Server supports the operation of a total of 25 tunnels in parallel via this bus coupling unit.
    • LED displays: Display of KNX bus connection, data traffic and USB connection to the Timberwolf server.
    • Automatic detection: This KNX bus coupler is automatically detected and integrated by the Timberwolf server.

    AREAS OF APPLICATION

Together with the Timberwolf Server, this KNX bus coupler allows KNX communication with the application of the Timberwolf Server, simultaneous KNX logging and simultaneous KNXnet/IP tunneling. Can be used in all KNX installations. At least one KNX power supply and connection to it via a bus line is required. Some functions can only be used after parameterisation with the ETS (from version 5).

Use with the different models of the Timberwolf Server:

    • Timberwolf Server 350Q / 950Q / 3500: A KNX-TP interface with all functions (KNX application, KNX logging, 25 KNXnet/IP tunnels) is already included in these models. With this additional KNX bus coupler, additional logging (in "real bus monitor mode") can be activated for the respective line connected to it. No additional tunnels can be added to the existing support for 25 tunnels by such additional KNX bus couplers.
    • Timberwolf Server 1800 / 2100 / 2400: These server models do NOT include a KNX-TP interface. For use with KNX, at least one KNX bus coupler from ElabNET is required. With this bus coupler, all functions provided by the Timberwolf Server (KNX application, KNX logging, 25 KNXnet/IP tunnels) can be used. With additional KNX bus couplers, only logging (in "real bus monitor mode") can be activated for the respective line connected to it.
    • Timberwolf Server 2500/ 2600: A KNX-TP interface with all functions (KNX application, KNX logging, 25 KNXnet/IP tunnels) is already included in these models. With additional KNX bus couplers, additional logging (in bus monitor mode) can be activated for the respective connected line. No additional tunnels can be added to the existing support for 25 tunnels with additional KNX bus couplers.

    ESSENTIAL PERFORMANCE FEATURES

This KNX bus coupler only works together with a Timberwolf server with firmware version 2.0 or higher.

    • Recording of KNX telegrams on the bus: The Timberwolf Server supports the recording of bus telegrams via this bus coupling unit (Virtual Busmonitor Mode and Real Busmonitor Mode).
    • Application mode on the bus: The Timberwolf server supports the operation of its KNX application via this bus coupler.
    • KNXnet/IP tunneling: In parallel, the Timberwolf server supports the operation of a total of 25 tunnels in parallel via this bus coupler.
    • LED indicators: KNX bus connection indicator, data traffic indicator and USB connection indicator to the Timberwolf server.
    • Automatic recognition: This KNX bus coupling unit is automatically recognised and integrated by the Timberwolf server.
    • Made in Germany

    RECOMMENDATION FOR LAYOUT

Each KNX bus coupler connected to the Timberwolf server is automatically recognised and represents a KNX interface. The performance characteristics of the respective KNX interfaces depend on whether further KNX bus couplers are used on the Timberwolf server and how they are configured.

    • Operation with several KNX interfaces: Timberwolf servers support the use of several KNX interfaces on one server. A KNX stack (application) together with KNXnet/IP tunneling can only be activated on ONE KNX interface. Telegram recording ("logging in bus monitor mode"), on the other hand, can be activated for each integrated KNX interface. The number of supported KNX interfaces is not artificially limited. The usability of several KNX interfaces in parallel, e.g. for logging of different lines, depends on the telegram volume on the respective line and the total load of the Timberwolf server across all supported protocols.
    • Application mode" operating mode: " Application mode" can be activated for ONE of the KNX interfaces (bus coupler) either contained or connected in the Timberwolf server. This activates a KNX stack with a KNX application including KNXnet/IP tunneling for this KNX interface. Use requires programming with the ETS.
    • Logging" operating mode

    COMPATIBILITY

This KNX bus coupler contains the certified chip "TP-UART 2+" from Infineon. The circuit has been certified for KNX at DIAL together with the KNX stack of the Timberwolf server.

    • KNX interface: This KNX bus coupler is exclusively intended for operation on the Timberwolf Server from firmware version 2.0 (or higher). The KNX stack has been specially programmed and certified for this bus coupler.
    • Programming via ETS: The KNX stack of the Timberwolf Server can be programmed via this KNX bus coupling unit or via the KNXnet/IP tunnel possible with it using the ETS.
    • Programming other bus devices with the ETS: With this KNX bus coupling unit in "application mode", the Timberwolf Server provides an additional 25 simultaneous KNXnet/IP tunneling connections. The ETS can use the Timberwolf Server as an "IP interface" to program all other KNX bus devices connected to the KNX interface as well as in all lines accessible via it.
